on … Cebu kids talk about ” cybersex” ordeal

♦

I am a parent of two girls and two boys . Although all my children are grown- ups now, I cannot help but feel disturbed upon reading  bad news about children and teens,  some of which are drug addictions, murders  of families with young children by allegedly addicts,  rapes  by perverts or pedophiles , etc.

During those years when my children were younger, we used to walk peacefully from home to school and back anytime during the day and even at night. Nowadays, even inside our compound, we fear for thieves , robbers and burglars.

One specific incident which bothered me so much is the news which I read lately that parents themselves indulge their small children/teens in cybersex . However poor your family is,  how can you tolerate the thought that the children you brought out in this world and cared for would just drift into drug use , into crimes and here- cybersex ! What with your own doing?

We should not use poverty as an excuse for a mischief. Naturally, a parent assumes no easy tasks.

I am proud to be a mother. God has entrusted me with loving and bright children.  Despite such heavy role,  the fruits are very rewarding. Parenting four children is no easy job but I consider them my trophies and greatest  achievements in my life. That’s why I thank God for the opportunity and fascinating experiences of being a parent.

Society may dictate how one may act accordingly as parent but only God can make a parent – a truly one ! The kind that reflects our Creator.***

I’ve watched about this too on TV and it saddens me deeply. Such parents were clearly sick and needs in depth moments together to realize what they been doing to their children was totally off.

Kudos to the concern citizens who reported the case to the authorities.

Consider me a witness behind closed doors. It is not only in Cebu but everywhere. I don’t know how her mother can sleep at night. She sends her children to exclusive schools, rent an apartment and buy all their needs. To think both of them (couple/parents) has no job. All I know is she showed (webcam) her little daughter to the crocodiles.

I know parenting is rewarding if you do it right and it’s not easy. I have my own share of both as I raise with my husband 5 children. We really need God’s divine protection upon our children because as parents we cannot always protect them ourselves. Only He can.

it really is quite depressing + scary at the same time to be listening to the news about what is happening around us. + i guess, when you are a mom your fear + apprehension doubles + you worry most about your child.
i am such a freak worrier + i am not sure how i’d be able to manage when my son is old enough + he will be out in the streets late into the night or mingling with a bunch of different people. but i guess, i have quite a few more years to practice – my son will just be turning 2 next month anyway!

Hello po! Ang swerte naman ni She na may mom na katulad nyo. Admittedly, I was not raised by my parents. Sa tiyahin ako lumaki because of poverty also, but still fortunate dahil hindi ako ibinigay sa masamang tao. Anyway, was joining She meme/giveaway.

    Have a great day.
