Benefits for parents who read aloud to kids

♦

Reading aloud to kids creates a bonding experience.  My son and his wife are always out for work so I do the reading to their son Eulo. ( Research varies but it seems that many parents spend little time with their children .)

Reading is one major skill upon which learning is based. As I read to my 10-month old grandchild he responds with a ‘magical sound’ . I have eye-appealing abc- books although not all seem appealing to the baby. The earlier we start reading to the kids, the better.

Reading aloud will help us build pleasant memories with the child. There are times when Eulo would flip the pages from left to right and vice-versa. I do get a lot of responses from him. I could imagine the many positive messages he is sending to me.

If we help young kids develop strong reading skills , they will likely succeed in most areas of learning. It can just be as simple as reading aloud . Just minutes a day will make a difference in their abilities. It’s never too early or too late to begin.
