It has been a hundred years since the establishment in 1911 of my Alma Mater. As we make our journey through life, we wish to remember the good memories we had back in our elementary days. We will commemorate its 100th Foundation Day in a couple of months.
As alumni, we have our own special memories of elementary life . We have left footprints in this institution. We cling to the idealism that this school had engendered in our hearts, mind and soul. We are grateful to our teachers who have equipped us with knowledge and skills. These mentors helped mold us in becoming what we are now.
There are a lot of things to do these days being the Alumni President. In fact, several activities are lined up to celebrate this momentous event including the ” Grand Alumni Night”. This event will bring joy and jubilation. It aims to empower and inspire fellow alumni to come together and help each other to come up with a big project to support the school. Any sort of support from the alumni is very much welcome.
The solemnity the forthcoming centennial celebration inspires in me the feeling of awe and excitement. Personally, I am looking forward to meeting my fellow batch members forty-one years after our elementary graduation in 1970. (What with their plus size fashion!!!). LOL, what I meant is that decades after graduation, I might be meeting a lot of my former schoolmates who are wearing plus size clothing already.
