Happy Retirement!

♦

As I look around to observe those who have gone into retirement, the most happy and contented seem to be those whose children have already finished their schooling and own their lots and houses.

To retire  means to withdraw from one’s career, occupation or position. Retirement is a pleasant experience if you are prepared for it. Properly planned retirement should come with new enthusiasm and cheerful outlook in life.

For my husband, retirement is a time to sit back and relax and enjoy the laurels of his hard work and financial status earned during his working years. After working hard for so long,  he will have more time to enjoy his favorite sports and pastimes.  Lately , he bought a portable air conditioner so he could use  it to anywhere he wants to go. He was used to having an air-conditioned working place . I am really wondering if he also suffers hot flushes like me. ( L O L)

An old adage says, ” All work and no play makes John a dull boy.” And that is true. So hopefully when my husband retires, we will spend vacations for relaxations together and  with friends – the week-end offs for biking. He loves biking so much. We will now have ample time to be with our family members and with our grandchildren. For sure, he will carry his portable air conditioner with him.

So, Happy retirement my dear !
