On New Year’s Eve

♦

On New Year’s Eve I realize more than any other time in my life that I can never go back in time… I feel chained to my old memories when my children were younger, when all four were beside us every moment of the day…

When they were younger , we were complete during Christmas, New Year and on important moments. How I miss those times when all four children were beside us. But life must go on for us , for me. My eldest daughter has her own family now living away from us. Same is true with my youngest son.

My older son just called us up to greet us a more peaceful and prosperous New Year. Oh how I really miss my older son. He called from Suriname as he navigates in the Southern part of America- a unique experience. He is hoping to pass by Argentina which is near the tip of South America. There are large glaciers there called the Patagonia glaciers. Patagonia is a mountainous region spanning the border between Chile and Argentina.

In order to reach the foot of the glaciers, ships have to sail through the channel of the icebergs which joins two branches of the Argentina Lake. Of course, it is so cold there at 30 F in winter and 66 F in summer.

Anyhow, I thank God sincerely and am so happy with what’s going on with the lives of my children, now that they are older – very fruitful and blessed. I wish them more happiness, best of health and merrier happier Holidays!!! I love you my dear children.
