Scarcity in life

♦

I used to think that I would have to wait until I graduate to understand the meaning of life. A lot of people find no meaning in life. Lately in local tabloids lawlessness, crimes and abandonment of moral values are eating up the society’s vitality.

When I was a child, I often wondered whether God played favorites because many live in poverty while there are people in affluence and luxuriate in comfort and abundance. I have seen enough miseries and sufferings in life and experienced hardships myself.

Mother in her mid 70’s looks great but not as great as her wealthy classmate, Miss Lina (not her real name). For anybody who could afford professional cosmetic procedures and effective treatments like liposuction, he or she could afford to “age gracefully” .

Our world nowadays is crumbling due to the corroding effect of human depravity. What should we do in order to lighten our miseries?

You may have to  learn  to be humble and to accept your humble beginnings, to be industrious and to be serious in your studies and to finish studies and to trust in God who always have something better for those who trust Him. Let us always remember  that God helps those  who help themselves.
