Indeed, life , many a time, offers great surprises that brighten our days and strengthen our spirit.
At 7:00 this morning, invitations were sent to three of my guest speakers in my radio program -Family and Life Apostolate Hour (which airs at 11 a.m.) to inform them , as guests, about the topics that we are going to discuss. One of them replied that the radio went off the air today. So I immediately forwarded said reply to the other two guest speakers.
At 9:00, thinking that I have no appointment for the day, I chatted in the internet with my daughter. She happened to inquire whether I have a radio program that day. To be very sure, I called up the radio station and learned that it went on-the-air on that very day. So I immediately called my three guests to inform that we’re having the program because the radio is on-the-air now. Apparently, the result was negative. They have already decided to decline the invitation so they are not attending anymore.
I went to the radio station 15 minutes before my program. As I sat in the announcers’ booth, one fellow announcer noticed that I was alone and I said, ” It’s okay. With God’s guidance, I will make it.”
I was through with my greetings’ portion when the door opened and 3 of the members of the SADE (Sons and Daughters Encounter) group entered. What a surprise! Now I have the officers of the younger group to discuss with me the topic about memorable experiences with their fathers ” On Fathers’ Day!”.
The program went on smoothly and my three young guests made a very lively discussion about their happy experiences with their father. Surely, God is good!He is great!
To all fathers , today we greet you all ” Happy Fathers’ Day. May the good Lord bless you and guide you to be good role models and loving to your children . May He give you grace and patience to handle every situation in a loving way. Amen.”
