Better safe than sorry- re: EMR (electromagnetic radiation) on children

♦

Lately, I watched a station where the exposure of the young children to television was discussed by the anchors. They emphasized that studies state that EMR exposure of the young children can cause subtle but permanent damage on them.

Admittedly, watching tv adversely affects children because they are more vulnerable than adults.

Now here’s something for me to ponder: my grandchild aged 18 months watches “Baby First” as soon as he wakes up in the morning. He is watching tv for more than two hours during the day.( We cannot even change to other channels because he cries if we do. Tv has become his second “yaya”.)

We understand that tv radiation as well as those emitted by other electrical appliances can be surprisingly strong (although flat screens or LED tv’s produce much less radiation than the cathode-ray types). Research directly links hyperactivity of children to their radiation exposures from tv.

As parents, we are more concerned with the health of our children. EMF can be reduced to a lower risk level by decreasing the frequency of tv exposure and if exposed, increasing the distance between the child and the EMR source.

Surely! We all want our homes to be safe for our selves, for our loved ones especially our children , including our grandchildren. As they say— “Better safe than sorry.”
