Health is wealth. Food plays a major role in our health.
When I was handling the subject Food Chemistry with a group of college freshmen, we discussed about the effects of acidity and alkalinity in our diet.
Naturally, there is no magic diet for everyone. We all know that what works for one, may not work for the other. “There is no blanket diet or management system that works for everyone.”
Our bodies need both acids and alkalines for our metabolism. To neutralize, if our body chemistry is too acidic, we need alkaline foods. Too much of anything is poison and excess accumulation of acids can cause rheumatism and skin problems such as allergies, Psoriasis, etc.
So in order to attain better health, we have to be cautious with the foods we eat.
