Election 2012: MR v BO

♦

“The world is watching” the upcoming big event- Election 2012!

According to history, the first US Presidential Election was held in 1788. That time, there was no formal nomination process yet and “the enormously popular Washington essentially ran unopposed, with “No Party” affiliation. It was only in 1791 that Thomas Jefferson organized one political party known as The Democratic- Republican Party.

Today, that one political party became two opposing parties, The Republican v The Democratic. The election fever creates “clashes” of opinions between the supporters of the two teams. This may seem normal as every supporter likes his own candidate to win. This also goes to show that people are actively participating in the affairs of the nation.

Democracy is a kind of government which derive its power from its constituents and is accountable to them for the use of that power. After all, each person is the one making his own life and his own decision will shape up his own future. So cast your vote and be counted.

May the best man win!
