“Health is like money…”

♦

It is usually uplifting to read and learn about important life advices but it’s more glorious and gratifying to share and help spread the good information especially good tips for a healthier life.

“Studies show that an excess of workouts are worse for your bone because overdoing it in the elliptical machine or on the bike may actually cause you to lose bone density. Scientists think that moderate pounding on your bones- one that comes from impact exercises like walking, running or weight training-is key to triggering your skeleton to lay down more minerals.Too much caffeine , salt and alcohol can all interfere with your body’s ability to retain the mineral.” We know, we know- that anything taken in moderation is good.

“Gravity doesn’t just pull at your face and breasts; it also does a number on your bones by flattening the feet and compressing the disks in your spine. The process speeds up as you age: Women may shrink by up to a third of an inch every decade after age 40,and by 80, most will have lost 1.3 inches of height. While there’s nothing you can do about gravity, you can slow down its effects by being good to your bones right now.” Normally, a person needs 1,000mg of calcium a day ( and 1,000IU of Vitamin D to absorb it). A balanced diet is very essential. We can increase our intake of bone- fortifying vitamins and minerals from dairy products ( like milk, cheese and yogurt), beans and nuts, vegetables and lean meats.

“Health is like money, we never have a true idea of its value until we lose it.” Let’s take care of our body so we will look good and feel great!
