Globally, this tool- the fingerprint recognition biometric system is being used increasingly by many companies now because it records employees’ time and attendance accurately.
The company where I work now has this sophisticated machine- the biometrics. I have to have my fingerprint scanned. The problem with my fingers is that, the machine cannot immediately read my fingerprints. Once I place my finger on the scanner, do you know what its answer is? Whew! The machine always has a hard time recognizing the “ridges and valleys” on the surface of my fingers. Most of the times, I get the answer: “Please try again”…
One time, I was getting frustrated after more than twenty times of placing my finger on the scanner and hearing the “please try again” and when I decided to make a last try, alas, the machine answered, “Thank you!” Being a bit mad with the many tries with the machine, I made a quick and hard response by saying, ” at long last- Welcome, welcome!”
All the while, I was so focused in the machine that I did not notice someone at the back of me, who just arrived on my last try, waiting for his turn to check out. I heard him murmurred: “what a very, very respectful lady- she’s responding to the machine ?…” while making a very quick glimpse on my face, perplexed as he shaked his head.
Hahaha- he doubted my sanity!!!!
