I was happy to be invited in a church wedding lately. The Celebrant said that for the bride and the groom, the day is a special one, extraordinary, memorable and historical because it is c-c-t-v: which stands for covenant, communion, thanksgiving (to God for the union) and (for having people around as) visible witnesses (of God’s love).
Such happenings give me a chance to recall mine thirty-six years back. Although that day was not a pompous and expensive celebration, still, it was special, too. It was the day when the two of us pledged that we will be forever together amidst the roaring thunders!!!; that ” for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, till death do us part…”
Indeed, our marriage was one of the best days of our lives.
Happiness is never in things; it is within us. Thank you Lord and may the good Lord bless our marriage more!!!
