I’ve just watched an educational television show and got somewhat inquisitive when the player was asked by the host of “where the blogosphere is found”. Of course, it’s “in the Internet” but for a player (who, maybe, is a senior citizen) to answer, he might find this question tough. Why? Like me, I never encountered such word in my elementary, secondary and college years. (Anyhow, he got it right.)
According to what I got from the internet, blogosphere was coined on September 10,1999 by Brad L. Graham, as a joke, but William Quick re-coined it in 2002. Since then, the word was quickly adopted by the bloggers. The word “blog” has been derived from the combination of the words web and log. It refers to a website regarding news, gossip, food, fashion, health, etc.
Blog and blogosphere- -may have simple meanings but are two vast and infinite realms of … any thing!
