All our teachers from elementary to college are part of what we are now.
By profession, I am not a teacher and I never had any desire to become one. In high school, during our graduation, I decided to take up engineering despite the fact that in those years, engineering courses were being offered only in the cities. I could vividly remember that one of my teachers teased me that I may be taking a difficult course only to land in the academe sector and …true enough, she was right!
I spent more than a decade in the government sector working in line with my profession after which I got teaching loads in a secondary school for three years and in a private college for five years.
Now, it’s been five years that I am self-employed but last year, I volunteered to teach Catechism in a secondary school the whole year. Sometimes, I doubt if destiny is really true. I mean, am I really destined to be one teacher?
This morning, I attended an orientation-seminar for newly-hired part-time faculty. TRUE ENOUGH, I am destined to become one! After all, teaching is touching lives.
