Throwback : On My Daughter’s Natal Day

My daughters

‘Twas a cool morning many years back. It was the day I delivered my second child. I thought it would take me many hours to labor just like what happened on my delivery of my first child. From home, we took a tricycle in going to the hospital which is situated in the rural area. We live a kilometer away but during those times, it took us almost half an hour to wait for a tricycle to pass by our area. Feeling restless and in pain, after about half an hour, the tricycle reached the entrance of the hospital. Just as I was about to move out the tricycle, I felt I cannot control- the baby’s out! It’s good, there rushed a worker with a stretcher just in time so I can lie down.

Now, that baby isn’t a baby anymore, lol- “the baby is now a lady”. She has grown to be a strong-willed and confident beautiful lady, having a lot of perseverance in whatever endeavor she’s in.

To you my loving and thoughtful daughter, I wish you more birthdays and all the best to come. I admire you for being so strong and persistent. May the good Lord bless you always, Happy birthday, love you!!!
