God made the butterflies and every child must be familiar with them. Although my grand daughter aged 3 years may not have seen a live one yet, I know that she likes butterflies so much.
While I am not really an avid fan of Tinker Bell from the start , I have learned to enjoy the Great Fairy Rescue as Georyl enjoys watching it repeatedly for the nth time now. Never was there a time when she seems bored or weary watching this movie. That is how she came to love butterflies. I think that it was such a great production because it made many children feel, enjoy and love nature- especially the butterflies.
I have read that Tinker Bell was first introduced in the story Peter Pan which was written in 1900 and Disney brought her to life in his movie Peter Pan and made her real in the 1950’s when he opened the Disneyland.
Every time my grand daughter watches the movie on our screen, I can also hear its official soundtrack , How To Believe- sung by Bridgit Medler. I found the song interesting so I browsed its music video in the internet. That was how I started to like the song so much. And lo and behold! — my grand daughter loves to join me in singing the song as I strum the chords using her mommy’s acoustic guitar and she pretends that she has EZdrummer 2 and drums to the beat.
Now both of us love to be together watching the movie and singing …” Hold my hand and fly- never say goodbye…” but not until the day when I have to bid adieu because my vacation time will be over- – in a couple of weeks from now. Of course with the hope that ” I shall return”.
