How to spend family day

♦

In this on-the-go country, everybody seems very busy especially on weekdays. Surely, “all work and no play makes John a dull boy”. That is why our family have a deeply rooted habit that on weekend, everyone heads out to spend the day outside the home to enjoy a hike maybe, or anything worthwhile to do.

These days, I am not working and my daily “expedition” is from the “fridge to the Facebook in the computer.”

I remember one weekend, the kids shooed me outdoors for a walk with them in the nearby park. Somehow, after a few minutes I agreed to go with them and we had a hike in the park where everyone’s sporting jogging pants and thick jackets with hoods. But of course, it was winter time and there we are – walking in the park on a chilly day with a temperature of 60! After all, everyone enjoyed the weekend!

Anyway, now that summer is here, I can’t imagine walking during the day – especially under the Las Vegas sun. I’d rather stay at home and play with the Rigotti oboe cane.
