Unexpected Gifting

Your spouse, friends and family probably expect to receive gifts from you on occasions such as their birthday, an anniversary, holidays and various special events such as graduation, marriage, the birth of a baby or numerous other life changing events. While it is nice to acknowledge these occurrences, giving someone a gift when they least expect it can be even more enjoyable for them and rewarding for you.

Special Days

It is incredibly easy to find dates that have been designated as special days. Some of these special days are simply fun days such as National Oreo Day or Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. As you search for special days that will give you an excuse to surprise someone with an unexpected gift, you will discover that there is a “Sales Person Day”, a “Spouse’s Day”, a “Friendship Day”, a “Random Acts of Kindness Day” and many other designated days that you can use as surprise gift-giving occasions. June 1 is designated as “Say Something Nice Day.” That day offers you numerous opportunities to surprise someone with a gift and thoughtful sentiment. There are designated days to celebrate immediate family, extended family and friends. Take advantage of these days to show someone how special he or she is.

Simple gifts

It’s not the complexity or the price of a gift that determines the impact it will have on the recipient. You can brighten someone’s day with a simple cookie bouquet that expresses a message of love, thanks, concern, appreciation or cheer. Pet- themed cookie gift baskets are a fun gift to send to someone who celebrates their pet’s birthday. A puppy or kitty cookie bouquet would be a thoughtful gift to give a friend who has just adopted a furry companion. Cookie bouquets are also a fantastic way to celebrate the birth of a baby. They can also be an unexpected way of saying thanks or best wishes to someone.

Being Your Unique Self

On occasions where flowers are the typical gift, a gift basket or cookie bouquet is a wonderful diversion from the ordinary. Sometimes, the person you are sending a gift to may be allergic to flowers. If so, a food basket or a cookie gift box would be a more appropriate gift. Festive, colorful, fun cookies are sure to make the recipient smile. No doubt, thoughts of your gift will linger in their memory long after the cookies have disappeared.
