Our children are naturally the most important family members we have, but there is somebody else out there who also deserves to be spoiled every now and again. No, it is not the dog (aww!), or your sister, or the postman…it is that lovable old rogue, daddy-o! He might not be the coolest cat on the block, but he puts the effort in, is always there to make a terrible joke, and always makes sure that the family is well taken care of. So do not let him go through life unappreciated; treat him to something. It can be big or small, we are sure he will appreciate it!

The Man Cave

Ah, the man cave. It is every man’s dream. Having a space that is just their own, where they can hang by themselves or with their friends, watching sports, playing video games, shooting pool, and the like. And, why not? Not every room has to be kept clean at all times, or has to have flowers in the corner. Giving your man their own special room is just about as generous as it gets, and we are sure they will absolutely love it. Whether you design it for them or just give them permission to do it, you will be a star in their book. In addition, you will get them out of your hair for a few hours a day…win win!

Projects They’ll Love

There is a bit of ulterior motive with this one, because you will also end up with something your life. There is plenty of scope with DIY projects, but it is not always possible to get them built, mostly because they are too intricate. However, you can take a step towards getting all those woodworking projects on the go by decking out their garage with the best tools and reigniting their passion for DIY projects. Go shopping for a benchtop bandsaw and drill press one day; end up with a new construction the next. Score!

A Night Out

When a dad is finally able to hit the town with their friends, it can be a bit of a bittersweet experience. On one hand, they are having a good time, on the other, they are thinking of how much trouble they will be if they come in late or have one too many drinks. Isn’t that a shame? Surprise the dad by giving him a pass for a night that involves no guilt tripping. You trust them to be on their best behavior, so let them cut loose for a night and do not make them feel bad for staying out later than planned.

Dad’s Trip

Some family getaways are about the family, some are for the mom, how many does dad get? You just know they would really love if the rest of the family were on board for a camping trip or a tour of America’s beautiful national parks.
