When it comes to having to clean certain things in the kitchen, one of the dirtiest jobs is actually cleaning the hood above the oven. While this is a dirty job, it is nonetheless not that difficult. In that spirit, here is a how-to guide on having to clean a kitchen hood Rockland county NY.

1. The first thing to be done is to remove the hood from the rest of the unit. This is actually quite easy. The filters are the first things to go. In almost every instance, they will either slide out or pop out. Sometimes you merely have to press them in a bit and they will pop right out.

2. Once the filters have been taken out, you should fill a sink with either very hot or nearly boiling water. This will be essential for the cleaning process. After the sink is filled with water, you can add baking soda and then a small bit of dish detergent. This will create the scrubbing substance that will clean the filters of the entire built-up gunk.

3. After these steps are complete, take the filters and submerge them completely in the water. The filters should be submerged totally, so that the filters can be completely clean. The filters should soak for at least 10 minutes. This will allow the built-up gunk to become thoroughly soaked with the cleaning solution. This, in turn, will soften it and make it far easier to be scrubbed away.

4. The next step is to scrub the filters. This can be done by taking a scouring pad to it. Rub the filters vigorously but still carefully so that the filters are scrubbed free of the entire gunk.

As you can see, cleaning the kitchen hood Rockland county NY is quite easy. You just need to be systematic about it, right?
