A double celebration

♦

It was a busy weekend for the family. We had a double celebration three days ago. It was the first birthday of my grandchild, Eulo,  and a thanksgiving day of the my son, JR ( Eulo’s dad) , for passing the Electronics and Communications board examination.

For all the blessings that we have received , we hope to share them to our friends and relatives.

We had a very systematic style and a  smooth time for preparation. Each  family member had a task to do. Ann, JR’s wife , prepared  two kinds of desserts. Medie, my daughter, procured a birthday cake for Eulo and another one for JR while Ann’s mother, cooked  rice and valenciana. Daddy  took charge of the pasta and a main dish and soda.

What about my task? Well, I did the most simple task of cleaning the house. Simple , in the sense that all I did was to simply clean. I’ve got no recipes to think about nor groceries’ shopping to do. But wait, I spent three days to clean the house. What with the wide surroundings to keep tidy and large waste cans to empty ,whew! I changed all the draperies in the living room and kitchen up to the draperies in all 3 rooms. I made sure that the plates and utensils are clean and enough for our guests.

What a busy weekend for the family but we had a very happy double celebration! Thank you Lord for all graces and blessings.
