Happy happy home!

♦

As parents, ours is the obligation to assist our children to attain their ultimate goals. It is within the confines of the family – in the atmosphere of our homes – where our children will find happiness.  So let us make our houses “homes,” where the ties of love and harmony flourish.

Studies show that children, especially teenagers,  who sit down together for meals with their family members (with their mother, father and siblings) are less likely to use drugs or suffer from depression as compared to those children  who seldom have time together with their family members. They also do better in school and have better social  relationships with other youths.

It will be well for parents to make every effort to become real friends of their children. Parents must endeavor to have open communication channels in the home and spend as much time they can with the kids.

As a mother to four children, I see to it that all their birthdays are being remembered. As early as one month away , I shop in  party supply stores for the things needed in the party. A simple, private but memorable celebration is enjoyed by the family members. Actually, we have a bread-store where we sell a variety of cakes and pastries. So regularly, I go to party supply stores to buy the materials for my bread-store.

Indeed, it is the parents’ fundamental vocation to provide the warmth and love in their home: to build a happy happy home for the family !!!
