(My own three practical) Tips for happy living

♦

I am convinced that nobody can give me the meaning of life from the outside. It is within me- I carry it within me. Living in a meaningful way involves developing my own potentials in my best possible ways.

In my own small way, I tried to put into practice as my humble life unfolds itself day by day, little by little, year after year, some basic yet very practical guidelines for myself- my three topmost tips among my “to – do” list. If this may help some people at all, any one who is interested may  pick this or that it may help him in some way. Here is my list:

1. I must set a realistic goal in life, must be contented with what I have, with work/occupation and whatever situation I have in life- it’s my secret to happiness.

2. I must learn to forget disagreeable things in life and master the art of saying pleasant things… to say sincerely and gently to everyone. To be happy, I should make others happy, too. I must always  cultivate  a cheerful disposition . It always pays to control one’s anger and temper.

3. I have to learn  to avoid excesses. I have to be  moderate in all things. Slow down or you’ll break down. Take your time and take it easy.

We all need a certain amount of fallow time. To have the courage to do nothing for awhile to be at peace with myself, with others and with God.

Hi Mommy Dens. I love the 3 tips you shared. As the Bible says, Godliness with contentment is great gain. Contentment means being happy and thankful for what you have and godliness should be one of the motivations to living at peace with others. God bless you po.
