I felt breathless…

♦

Lord God, thank you so much I won the battle! Pneumonia put me down.

It was  four of a Monday afternoon. Unexpectedly, my husband fetched me from school to a laboratory clinic to get his laboratory test result. While inside the clinic, he suggested that I submit to chest x-ray even without a doctor’s request because he noticed that I cough. I felt a bit hesitant but I did. After thirty minutes, my result was out. Then we hastily left the clinic for home. Halfway from the clinic to our house, I happened to glance at the x-ray film and the bond paper (they were contained in a smaller brown envelope) which contain the impression in big letters: PNEUMONIA, RIGHT PARACARDIAC AREA, APICOLORDOTIC VIEW SUGGESTED FOR FURTHER EVALUATION.

Whew! I felt my heart beat so fast….(to be continued)…
