Do you love watching movies? The ads- “Relax, see a movie!”- never fascinates me – ever!
Watching movies was never my cup of coffee but not to my hubby. One free afternoon, my husband got my nod to his invitation to watch an action movie in a first class theater in a big mall. The place was cool, the soundtrack- awesome. The movie started with a woman being raped to death by two drug addicts. Parts of her body were cut into halves so each one will have his own share of the breast. Although the ending showed that the mission of the detective to unfold the killers was successful, my blood pressure might have risen a bit above normal while the show was going on.
After all, who will ever enjoy watching violence even in movies? Not me, either. Every time, I heard the screams and the loud sound effects, I closed my eyes and covered my ears.
That was just a movie, a fiction but like a child, I got so frightened and upset. Someone teased me that I should have paid only half because I used to cover an eye and an ear! What a waste of money; more so, I never enjoyed the movie.
An advice from a friend: for me to enjoy movies, I must watch comedies, instead of action movies. That may be a good advice unless I will not find the jokes, corny. Well, well – it depends!
