I was pretty sure, it was a nurse and not a medical technologist who did it. Once the needle pierced my skin, I moaned as I felt a great pain. It was not a quick insertion as I felt the needle pierced “through and through”my vein. As the needle was withdrawn, I bled out from my vein for more than 5cc because I saw the nurse used two test tubes collecting my spilled “dark” blood while telling me that these blood collections will be used in my other blood examinations. For sure, the needle may have been extended past the vein. The skin area immediately bloated even though it was being pressed.
Really, it was a tough fight but from the start, I was so determined to beat it! …and I did!!!

Before I left the hospital, my doctor recommends another lung x’ray of the apicolordotic view of the apex of my right lung before my follow up check-up. That’s another outcome to wait with anxiety!
