The soul communicates best through music. I like music. It was in my elementary years when I started subscribing to “Songhits”. I was in high school when I got interested in guitar.
I had a male friend who was good in strumming guitar. When I watched him play, I dreamed I could play the way he did. When my older sister brought home a used guitar from Cebu, that was the time I first practiced how to strum.
It took me so short a time to learn. What with my great desire to learn. I knew many chord patterns and I learned easily. My sister and I knew lots of songs from Songhits and I looked for their guitar chords from “Jingle”.
One of my favorite instrumentals I used to play is Forbidden Games. I strum and sing The Wonder of You which became our theme song with my husband.
I never had a chance to own a guitar but I have here with me one owned by my eldest daughter. It was a gift for her but she left it to me. Now I still have some time to strum . I hope my grandchildren will learn to strum, too. It’s a wonderful hobby.
