A peaceful community

♦

Of course, world peace is really, really hard to attain but… community peace is very possible. A peaceful community is quiet and a happy place to live in. Choosing one from a nearly endless supply of peaceful communities, in the Kolter Homes Communities, is one sure way.

“PEACE is not an absence of war- it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice.” Do you remember one children’s song which runs this way…”Oh the more we are together, the happier are we, for your friends are my friends and my friends are your friends, oh the more we are together, the happier are we!”??? Surely, as parents we hope to instill in the young minds of our children the value of friendship. If good relationship exists among friends, eventually, there will be peace in the community. By the way, I will not be talking here about friendship but about a peaceful community. I had a conversation with a fellow mother not long ago. I call her Jen. She had young children going to school and had a feeling of fear every time her children leave for school. She reminded me of the many news about life-threatening shooting incidents in other schools and other prevalent violence in other places.

I was also aware of the spread of a “hate mail” which went viral recently because it contained hateful comments about a community.
Jen was so frustrated about this general thought of being “unsafe”. She needed a safer place to land- for her family.

It is quite a decision to make but as parents, we always consider  the security of the family members.

Good luck and peace be with you, friend! God bless your family.
