Do you still remember your former classmates in high school?

♦

Do you still yearn to meet your former classmates?

After our graduation in high school almost four decades ago, I lost contact with most of my former classmates and batch mates. A few of them may have stayed in our country but many of us ventured in far far away places. We didn’t have the chance to see each other again.

My feelings were so indescribable when I happened to contact in the internet my former class/batch mates here in this “Land of Opportunity”. By chance, the search for my old friends in the internet proved to be not so futile.

I was the happiest when some of us had a get-together and met personally in Florida after more than fifty years.  We are in our mid fifties now and few have been retired from private practice while the others are going to retire five years from now from their job in the government. Since one is living in one of the best retirement communities in Florida, she asked me if I want to join her there.

That brief mini-reunion was such a special gathering wherein we counted the years and reminisce the happy and unforgettable beautiful memories we had together when we were younger (or young?? LOL!)

When classmates/batch mates meet, our hearts warm!!! Friends really never say goodbye.
